VALUES

All of our values are based on what Jesus called "the great commandment" and the great commission He gave us. Jesus gave us a commandment in Matthew 22:34-40:

"Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?"

Jesus replied:"'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind." This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

Later in Matthew 28, Jesus gives us the mission of the church, which has traditionally been called, "the Great Commission."

"All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

To put it simply, we look at it in 5 tiers:

Outreach: Our compassion for our neighbors fuel our passion for outreach.
Transformation: We are engaged on a transforming journey.
Community: We believe that engaging in Christian community is essential to a life with Christ.
Servanthood: We stoop to great depths to elevate others in Jesus' name.
Worship: We worship Jesus through uninhibited living.
