"A Rooted Life" || Colossians 1:1-14
Teacher: Tim Parlier Series: Colossians || Jesus + Nothing Topic: Default Scripture: Colossians 1:1–14
Do you ever feel tossed around by the whirlwind of life? Do you ever desire to be more sturdy and resilient in the challenges you face every day? Sunday's message is called "A Rooted Life" and we'll look at how Paul wrote from jail to encourage a church he had never visited and help them get rooted! This Sunday we kick off our new study in the Apostle Paul's letter to the Colossians. Paul along with Timothy wrote a letter to the church in Colossae which was born in the wake of Paul's missionary journeys. This is a cool continuation of The Story we saw unfold in the book of Acts. As we look closer, these next 8 weeks we'll see how the Apostle Paul is trying to help shepherd and encourage this fledgling church as it struggles with its own unique challenges. This week we look at the first 14 verses and how Paul both greets them, affirms them, and begins to try and root them in what matters most. We hope you can join us and celebrate God's grace together!
