"New Creation Living" || Colossians 3:10-21
Teacher: Tim Parlier Series: Colossians || Jesus + Nothing Scripture: Colossians 3:10–21
The story of the bible tells us that God created everything and all of His creation was good (including humanity). But through humanity's rebellion against His rule & reign, creation was broken (which includes us too). Since sin entered the world, everywhere we look we see the brokeness and we instinctively know "this is not how things should be." And yet God didn't ignore the problems, Jesus came into our brokenness to bring salvation, forgiveness, healing and restoration. He came to not just fix creation but to bring "New Creation" life to us by the Holy Spirit within us. Old creation relationships were dominated by control, blame, shame, and escape. But new creation relationships look totally different. These relationships are empowered by Jesus and look like Jesus' service, honor, love, and deep connection. How might New Creation life look in your life, in your family, in your relationships? That's our study this week in Colossians 3.
