"Don't Despair, Dive In" | Easter 2026 | Tim Parlier

Teacher: Tim Parlier Series: Stand-Alone Sermons Topic: Easter Scripture: John 3:1–21

In a world marked by uncertainty, fear, and instability, this message dives into one of the most powerful conversations in Scripture, Jesus and Nicodemus in John 3. As chaos rises in our culture through political tension, economic anxiety, and global unrest, we are faced with a question. Where do we find lasting stability? This sermon explores four common responses to instability, denial, distraction, despair, and domination, and why none of them truly satisfy. Instead, Jesus offers something radically different. Not behavior modification, but spiritual transformation. “You must be born again.” Through the lens of Easter, we see God’s answer to chaos. He does not begin by fixing our circumstances. He gives us new life through Christ. At the cross, Jesus takes our sin. Through the resurrection, He gives us His life. The result is a secure identity, a renewed heart, and steady hope in an unsteady world. This is an invitation to move beyond fear and into faith. To stop striving and start trusting. To leave despair behind and step into new life. In the midst of instability, discover the One who never changes.
