What to expect on a Sunday:
We understand that visiting a church's gathering for the first time can be daunting. With that in mind, here is some of what you can expect to experience on a typical Sunday...
Some wear pants, some wear shorts and T-shirts, and others dress up more... during COVID times some wear masks and some do not; you're loved either way. Some of us are old, some are young, and some of us in our own minds think we're somewhere in between! We're not much for hype or trying to be the hippest church around, we're just a bunch of people that want to grow in authentic relationships with Jesus and each other.
We believe our Sunday gathering is not about the appearance, it's about heart change. Jesus seeks to meet us and change us from the inside out. Therefore, come as you are. We regularly have new guests and fist time visitors so we're used to it, just come and say hi. If you've never visited a church before, we get it... that's how a lot of us found Generation.
Military friends, if you've just been stationed at Camp Pendleton we'd love to know about it and help you get connected to Oceanside! No matter who you are, what you believe, or where you come from; our hope is you experience God's love for you during our time together.
WHEN YOU GET HERE
Our staff & hospitality team love to hang out on the patio and greet people as they arrive. Grab a coffee or drink and hang out with us. Our greeters love to give out smiles and bulletins as you enter. If you need any special assistance getting from your car into the meeting areas, please let the greeters know and they will be happy to help or email us ahead of time.
MUSIC & TEACHING
We are a Gospel Centered church so our worship and teachings reflect our excitement and gratitude for the finished work of Christ on our behalf. The music style is a blend of contemporary and hymns. We teach through the bible weekly so bring one if you have one or borrow one of ours, we have plenty! Every week we celebrate the Gospel...who God is, what He has done, and who we are in light of that!
Feel free to bring your coffee with you, or grab something from our hospitality table. Coffee, tea and assorted pastries are available for free. Occasionally, we sell things to benefit our local community organizations or our partners abroad.
