Why We Give
We give because He first gave to us. (Phil 2) We don't give to earn God's blessing, but because we already have been blessed abundantly by Jesus.
God wants us to give regularly, generously, and sacrificially out of everything He gives us, as part of our worship and expression of gratitude. We give because we are made in the image of a generous God! Live Generously! (Genesis 2, 2 Corinthians 9, Acts 20:32-35, 1 John 3:16–18)
Generosity is at the very heart of God and at the center of who God is making us to be. God uses the act of giving to direct our hearts and shape us to be more like Christ.
