What is the Gospel?

The gospel, which means "good news," is the central message of Christianity and it is the foundation of what we believe. The gospel is the proclamation of God's grace and salvation through Jesus Christ. It is the good news announcement declaring that, in and through the work of Jesus Christ, God has done everything to restore our relationship with Himself.

It is the message that God, out of His love and mercy, sent His Son to die for our sins and be raised to life, offering forgiveness and eternal life to all who believe in Him. This gospel is not based on our own works or efforts, but solely on the finished work of Christ on the cross.

It is a message of hope, freedom, and reconciliation with God. (Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 5:8, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4)
