With the constant bombardment of marketing messages and frenzied clamoring for your attention, it's easy to get caught up in the confusion of what really matters. Each day, we're being pointed to a thousand different things that all promise to fix our biggest problems and resolve our deepest fears. Sadly, this confusion can happen in the church as well when we're pointed to endless array of self-improvement plans and a litany of "do more for God" messages, rather than being pointed to the glorious news of what Jesus has done for us. It's high time for the church to bring clarity to the confusion. Instead of pointing to a thousand different things for hope, we're going to point to Jesus.
